Haycock Hello 4.22.24

ggg

Dear Haycock Families,

Last week was jam packed with fun events! The PTA Heritage Night on Monday was well attended.  Thank you to the many parent volunteers who made this night happen for our community.

The Fine Arts Festival on Wednesday and Thursday included our strings, chorus, and band students putting on fantastic concerts with wonderful displays of our students' visual arts throughout the building.  Many thanks to our band, strings, chorus, and art staff who made this event happen for our students and community.

We also honored our students from military connected families with popsicles on Purple Up Day on Wednesday.  Many staff and students wore purple as a visible gesture of our appreciation and support for those who serve in the military and their families.

This week is Administrative Assistants Appreciation Week.  We are showing our gratitude in many ways this week to our amazing office staff.

If your student will not be returning to Haycock next year, we ask that you complete this form.  This information helps us with planning and staffing.

We wish all our families who celebrate a happy Passover.

With appreciation for your partnership,

Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu

Heather Boyd, AP  HABoyd@fcps.edu

Krystal Styles, AP  krstyles@fcps.edu

Chag Sameach to all in our community celebrating Passover!  Passover begins sundown April 22 and ends sundown April 30.

Many Jewish communities in the United States celebrate Passover, a recognition of the deliverance of Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. Passover is also known as Pesah, Pesach, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Many Jewish families in the United States eat a ceremonial meal known as the Seder, which involves telling the story of the exodus from Egypt as well as eating various symbolic foods, such as meat of the paschal lamb and bitter herbs, recalling the harsh life of slavery.
