Family Engagement Survey

Dear LCES Families,

Recently, you should have received an email from Fairfax County Public Schools regarding our Family Engagement Survey which will be open from Sunday, March 3, to Friday, March 22.  These results will be reported out across the division to help school principals and school leaders to make informed decisions regarding each individual school.  At Lees Corner, Ms. Hutchinson and I will receive a detailed report that we will be sharing with staff, and overall community- to support our ongoing reflection and improvement.

Thank you again for your feedback contributions and we look forward to hearing from our families.  If you are having trouble finding the survey or have any questions about the survey, you can find more resources and access the survey itself using this site: Family Engagement Survey

Sincerely,

Ms. Sloan & Ms. Hutchinson

On Time Arrival

Our school doors open at 8:35 a.m. The bell rings at 8:50 a.m. and students are expected to be in their classrooms ready to learn at 8:50 a.m.  Please plan your arrival to allow for time for your child to walk to their classroom.

The kiss and ride line can get long especially on cloudy or rainy days, please plan ahead for these conditions, so your child will arrive on time.

If you have to drop your child off in front of the school after 8:50 AM, please remember to exercise caution and drive slowly. We still have students arriving by car and by bus and we want to avoid any accidents or injuries.

It’s important to start to a child’s day with normal routines and getting to school on time will help them transition to the classroom. Students who arrive late miss important announcements, directions, and instruction. Thank you for your part in ensuring your child arrives to school on time.
