CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing Mount Vernon High School artists!
The following students were recognized with regional awards in the 2024 regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Gold and Silver Key award winners will be recognized at a ceremony on Wednesday, March 6 at the Ernst Cultural Center at NVCC-Annandale, where their art will be on display.
In addition, both of Ryan Cox’s Gold Key artworks will advance to the National Competition in March.
Their artwork was recognized by a panel of creative professionals as the most outstanding work submitted among their peers. Since 1923, the Awards have recognized some of America’s most celebrated artists and writers while they were teenagers, including: Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Kay WalkingStick, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Andy Warhol. We are proud to count you among these esteemed Scholastic Awards alumni!
