Principal Message

Dear Marshall Road Families,

Thank you for participating in the Runathon today!  It was exciting to see students, staff and families come out and support this PTA fundraiser.  The beautiful weather and time together as a school community to cheer, walk or run was a wonderful experience.  Please be sure to return your runathon packet by Friday, November 17 to be included in the daily raffle.

This time of year we reflect on how fortunate we are to work in such an amazing community. Our Positivity Project term this week is gratitude. We are thankful for all of you and we are especially grateful for your children.

We wish you all a peaceful and restful Thanksgiving break. There will be no school for students and staff on November 22, 23 and 24.

Much peace.

Matt Chapman, Sue Kirby and Antoinette Nauflett

New Student Directory

We are pleased to share that the Marshall Road student directory is complete, and you should be receiving it via email soon from your Room Rep.  The directory is in PDF format and contains information such as the names and emails of teachers/staff, student names, and parent/guardian emails.  The directory is exclusively for the private use of Marshall Road Elementary School families.

Having a student directory is a wonderful way to promote communication and community among parents and students, which has a variety of benefits for everyone involved.  For example, parents/guardians can facilitate playdates, send party invitations, and support extracurricular activities.

In the past few weeks, Room Reps have also been sharing classroom contacts.  If you do not receive the school-wide student directory or your classroom contacts, please reach out to your Room Rep.  Questions can be directed to directory@marshallroadpta.org

Winter Coat Drive

As the ONE campaign grows, the Madison Pyramid is mobilizing collective kindness and generosity to support our community this fall.  We are inviting you to join families across the pyramid in giving through the ONE Campaign Winter Wishes Drives.  #ONEKindAct can change the world.  YOU and your contributions MATTER.  Please read below for more information about how you can help at Marshall Road:

The MRES community will be collecting new or excellent used/ready-to-wear condition winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for children, teens, and women from November 27-December 8.  A drop-off box will be located in the MRES lobby.

Contributions will be donated to Women Giving Back (https://womengivingback.org/). Sponsored by the MRES PTA.
