George Mason Basketball Team Visit!
Deer Park had some special visitors from the George Mason basketball team! GMU basketball players greeted our students as they entered the building, and they even walked a few to class. The basketball coach and players then talked to our sixth graders about hard work, perseverance, and following their dreams. Our sixth graders really enjoyed learning from these players, and they were able to ask some great questions during the program. They even got a chance to play some basketball with the players! A huge Thank You to GMU Basketball – Go Patriots!
