Promoted & Proud

On Thursday afternoon, our 6th grade students and staff celebrated with beach themed promotion party which was so much fun! On Friday morning, these students and their families were honored during a joyous promotion ceremony. We wish all of our students and their families the very best as they move forward into middle school and beyond. Never forget Lees Corner and know that you are loved!

Pictures and video clips from the celebrations will be posted on the Lees Corner Facebook page. We invite familes to share their end of year memories there for all to enjoy.

5th grade authors

Already Authors

This week Mrs. Wagner's students held an authors' celebration showcasing all the books, poems, non-fiction, and stories they have published this year. This was an incredible celebration of learning for students, parents, and staff! Our future is bright with young minds and hearts like these ready to lead us. Thank you, Mrs. Wagner for providing our students and families with this empowering experience!

Happy Retirement Ms. Malika!

International Night & Good Bye

Ms. Malika!

On Thursday afternoon, our LCES SACC team hosted a spectacular International Food Festival and surprise retirement party for Ms. Malika. Families brought so much food from all over the world and every dish was delicious. Ms. Malika's family and some former students surprised her and showed up to celebrate her retirement and honor the impact she has had on our school. She always brought so much love and joy to our school and our students. We will miss you and wish you all the very best!

Meet our new counselor Jasmine Polite.

Meet Our New Counselor

My name is Jasmine Polite and I’m the new School Counselor working alongside Mrs. Spears at Lees Corner Elementary. I’m a South Florida native. Before relocating to Virginia, I began my career in 2013 as a Professional School Counselor within Broward County Public Schools. I received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, followed by a master’s degree in School Counseling from Saint Thomas University. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters; as well as traveling, attending musical concerts, sporting events and trying new restaurants.

I am passionate about helping students reach their full academic, social and emotional potential. As a school counselor one of my roles is encouraging all students to strive for their personal best to become an asset to our amazing community. I am thrilled to be a part of this dynamic team at Lees Corner Elementary!
