Student Laptop and Charger Collection

Student laptop and charger collection will take place during PE on June 12th and 13th. If your student is enrolled in a FCPS class or program and need a laptop, they can keep their Liberty laptop until the program is finished. All laptops need to be returned to Liberty at the end of the program.  If your student will not be in school on the 12th or 13th please have the student bring their laptop and charger to B112 before their last day of school.

If your student lost their charger they need to purchase a replacement prior to collection. Any lost charger needs to be replaced so we have enough for the 2023-24 school year. The cost is $41.39 (recently updated by Dell) and can be purchased through MySchoolBucks.

Please email Lisa Basta lbasta@fcps.edu if you have any questions.

EOSY Medication Pick-up

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. (June 16 @ 12:15 pm) Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site  on  the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s).

If you have any questions, please contact your school health room aide, Loris Sarabamoun at 703-988-8110, or your school public health nurse, Kathleen Boyd, at 703-712-9037.

Thank you for your cooperation and have a great summer."

Student Intention for Next School Year (2023-2024)

To help plan for our staffing needs, we ask that each family complete the Student Intention for Next School Year (2023-2024). The Global Classroom Project

The Global Classroom Project (GCP) offers a unique opportunity to explore similarities and differences with students from another country. The goal of the project is to use Portrait of a Graduate Skills to tackle the UN Sustainability Goals (SDG’s). For our project, we focused on using global and ethical citizenship, goal-setting, and resilience. Students used these skills to advance one of the following goals:

  1.  Sustainable cities and communities
  2. Responsible consumption and production, and
  3. Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

Students first built authentic connections with their partner classroom—asking them questions and creating videos for them to comment on. The culmination of the project was creating a ‘Civic Action Proposal’ where students create a plan to take meaningful actions to improve their local communities. Through this project students learned how diverse perspectives are critical during the problem-solving process.

This website includes both the Parent Report as well as a Family Guide to support you in understanding results and ideas for talking with your student about their results. Both are available in multiple languages. To learn more about SEL and how we support students at school and at home please see the FCPS SEL website. Please reach out to our school counselors, school psychologist or school social worker with any questions.
