Planning meeting for the 20th anniversary May 19th community celebration, and the end of the year 8th-grade celebration on June 14th. The meeting will be held at Liberty's library@ 6:30pm.

TSA LIONS ADVANCE TO STATES!!
Liberty Middle School's Technology Student Association(TSA) club participated in the Northern Virginia Regional Technology Fair this weekend.Several students earned the right to participate in the Virginia State Technosphere Competition later this Spring.
LIBERTY LIONS TAKE 5 of 6 in Basketball Tournaments against Stone!
Congratulations to our players for their hard work and dedication! Although we go much of the year with open opportunities for pick up games, at select times our students make a commitment to be part of the teams that will play other schools. Academics, behavior, and attendance matter for our players and we are proud of them for all their successes in all of these areas.
Liberty Debate Team Goes to Their First Competition!
Our Liberty Debate Team is in its first year at Liberty under the sponsorship of Mr. Queirolo. Debate Team is a great opportunity for our students to improve their critical thinking skills and communication skills. Mr. Q. took two of his students to their first competition this past weekend and they had a great experience and are preparing for future competitions with other teammates.

Bringing Lion Love To
Our Students & Families
In honor of Liberty Middle School being part of the Centreville and Clifton communities for 20 years, our LMS staff want to spread a little joy to our students and families.
LMS staff will be dropping by your homes in pairs on Thursday, April 13, to deliver 20th anniversary yard/window signs that say “A Liberty Lion Roars Here!”
These deliveries will take place after the two hour early dismissal for students, and staff will be identifiable in red Liberty t-shirts. We will simply greet you at the front door to say hello and hand you a yard/window sign if you are home. If you are not home, we may leave the sign on your doorstep or in your yard.
If you DO NOT WANT A SIGN or PREFER TO PICK UP your sign at school, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM.
Whether or not you choose to post your sign, please know that you and your children are very important to our Liberty Lion community and we value your partnership in their education.

Community Meeting
on the Dangers of Fentanyl
Monday, March 13, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Reid and Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis hosted nearly 400 families, staff, and community members for a conversation on the dangers of fentanyl. During this impactful event, audience members heard testimonials from individuals affected by the opioid epidemic and learned facts from medical experts and law enforcement representatives. The conversation will continue on Monday, April 24, with our next community meeting on the critical topic of fentanyl danger and opioid awareness. More information is coming soon. Please save the date for this amazing spring concert outdoor festival featuring the talented band musicians of Centreville High School. If you have children eligible for the federal Free and Reduced-Price Meals program, they may also be eligible to participate in other Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) fee-based programs without paying a fee or by paying a reduced fee (e.g classes with a student fee).
