Book Fair

Book Fair Information

We are very excited to announce that the Book Fair is coming back to Forestville from November 14th – November 17th during regular school hours. Students will come to the Book Fair with their class twice during the week – once to preview the books and once to make purchases. The schedule for class visits can be found here. The book fair accepts cash and cards in addition to an “e-wallet” where families can add money online for their students to use for purchases. Click here for specific details on setting up the e-wallet.

Families are welcome to join us at the Book Fair for two special events:

  1. Wednesday, November 16 from 6-8pm, please join us for an ice cream social in the Forestville Cafeteria. During this time families will be able to enjoy a treat and shop the book fair!
  2. Thursday, November 17 Forestville will be hosting The Thanksgiving Luncheon. The class schedule for the luncheon can be found above. Families are welcome to shop the book fair during the Thanksgiving Lunch. **Please note that for safety reasons, you will need to fill out a Google Form when taking your child from the luncheon to the book fair. This is so teachers and staff can account for students. A QR code that directs you to the form will be posted on the cafeteria doors.

Prefer to shop the Book Fair online? Click here to check out the wide range of books available for order. All orders placed via this link will still support the Forestville PTA and they’ll be delivered directly to your home!

FamilyLiaisonCornerMarineCorps

The Marine Corps celebrated their 247th birthday on November 10th.

The Marine Corps was formed on November 10, 1775, by the Second Continental Congress, with the first Marines enlisting under Commandant Samuel Nicholas. But it was not until 1921 that the Corps began celebrating that historic day officially as its birthday.

Veteran's Day

Veterans Day

Fairfax County Public Schools pauses to express our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to our Veterans for their brave and selfless service to our country. We encourage all members of our community to take a moment to reflect on the meaning of Veterans Day; to remember the sacrifices, the service with honor, the dedication of those who serve, and those who love and support them. It is important to acknowledge and thank Veterans for their service today, and throughout the year.

Happy Veterans Day to those who have served, those who serve today, and future veterans - serving at home and abroad, from Fairfax County Public Schools. Thank you for your service.
