CES Weekly Update 9.29.22

Principal's Message

We are having a wonderful week of learning. Being able to start the week off with a teacher workday was a huge help to our hard working staff. Some of our staff were also able to enjoy the Rosh Hashana Celebration. Happy Rosh Hashanah to all of our families who celebrate!

Teachers were busy analyzing assessments that have been given, planning for instruction and many are working on the grade level big event plans for curriculum activities, field trips and other exciting learning experiences. It is so nice to be planning for so many engaging and enriching experiences for our students.

In the past two weeks we held two parent meetings and have posted the slides and recordings of those meetings to share all of the information with our community.  We have two more upcoming coffees this fall and look forward to continuing conversations about the academic shifts in reading, technology access for students and supporting social emotional aspects of our students. We hope you will be able join us in person or virtually.

This week it was a treat to enjoy spirit days to bring in our kickball game. I have to say, dress to impress was my absolute favorite.  Our students can certainly impress and looked amazing! As you will see our kickball game is delayed due to the weather, until October 14th, but we look forward to our spirit building as we get closer to the 14th!

Have a wonderful weekend ahead. For all of our families and friends in the wake hurricane Ian and the storm moving up the coast, I hope everyone is safe and sheltered.

Sincerely,

Stacy Kirkpatrick
