Dear Haycock Families,

Thank you to all of you who attended the Advanced Academics Information Night on Thursday evening.  Here is the information that we presented that evening, AAP Information Session Slides.  Ms. Laura Chami, our Advanced Academics Resource teacher (AART), provided a comprehensive overview of AAP services available to students at Haycock. We plan to follow up with a second virtual session in October (date coming) to share specific information about AAP parent referrals.

We want to remind all families that the school doors open every morning at 9:05.  If students are arriving or being dropped off before 9:05, this is a reminder that there is no adult supervision of students outside the building until 9:05.

Next week, the week of October 4-8, is Custodian Appreciation Week.  We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of Cesar Muchado, Trinh Pham, Thuan Tran, Tom Huynh, and Maria Fernandez, our dynamic custodial team!  Have you noticed how beautiful Haycock is looking from inside AND outside?  Consider having your child make a card for our custodians next week to show our collective appreciation and gratitude for all they do to make Haycock a great place.

We hope to see you this Friday evening, September 30, for our PTA movie night.  This is a well attended and very fun evening for our school community.  Bring your chairs or lawn blankets and cash for snacks. We relish the opportunity to gather and enjoy time together.

Happy Rosh Hashanah!

With appreciation for your partnership,

Dr. Liz Beaty, Principal  embeaty@fcps.edu
