PSTD(Parent/Teen) Mandatory Presentation for Driver Education
Due to school closure, Partner’s for Safe Teen Driving (PSTD) will take place virtually this year. Students in Mr. Planakis’ Driver Ed classes will have their virtual presentation on Thursday March 18th at 6:30pm. This 90-minute program is required to be attended by the student and their parent/guardian in the same room in front of the computer as part of classroom driver education to fulfill juvenile licensing requirements. The program will be held virtually and the student and parent/guardian must participate in the presentation together. There is no registration required for the PSTD presentation. The presentation will take place in the Google Meet link located on the “Planakis Office Hours” Google Classroom page that all of Mr. Planakis’ students are enrolled in. After completing the program, the student will receive credit for the presentation. All parent/student combinations must join the presentation prior to 6:30pm as the presentation will close at 6:30pm and you will have to wait till 4th quarter for the next PSTD presentation in order to meet juvenile licensing requirements. You will be able to join the presentation beginning at 6:00pm up until 6:30pm. All parent/student combinations will be required to complete a sign in form at the beginning of the presentation and an affirmation form at the end of the presentation to verify completion of this requirement. All forms must be completed prior to the conclusion of the presentation in order for your child to receive credit for this requirement. Any forms completed after the conclusion of the PSTD presentation will not be accepted and unfortunately, the student and their parent/guardian would need to attend a PSTD presentation at a later date to meet juvenile licensing requirements.
