Class of 2021 Senior Social

Friday, February 19th from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Langley is hosting a Senior Social in the school's parking lot from 3:30-4:30pm on Friday, February 19th. We want all of our Seniors to come to the  parking lot to socialize and catch up with each other. Chairs will be placed 6 feet apart, so Seniors can catch up with their friends in an outdoor socially distant space, or hang out in their cars. We recommend that they dress warmly and bring a blanket. Seniors can grab a treat when they enter and reconnect with their classmates and teachers.

Hope to see all the seniors there!

FCPS-issued Laptops

As we prepare for our Saxons to return to the building, please be sure that you are using your FCPS-issued laptop regularly. FCPS laptops are optimized to work on the school network, unlike devices you may be using at home. Additionally, many school programs and tests are required to be run on your FCPS laptop. If you have not been using your FCPS laptop regularly, please begin doing so now to prepare yourself to bring it every day you are in the building. If your laptop requires updates, drive to the nearest FCPS school and turn the laptop on in the parking lot. The laptop will connect to the FCPS network and download important updates. Please submit an IT request if you are having difficulty with your school laptops.

Online vs. In-person Instruction

To view your decision, please be sure to log-in to ParentVue on a computer (the app version on mobile devices does not show this information) and click on the Student Info tab.  Your decision can be found near the bottom of the page.

If you would like to request a change in your status, please use the link below.  ALL requests MUST be submitted through the link below.  At this time, we are unable to accommodate students moving from online to in-person instruction however, we will create a waitlist to review if/when conditions allow.  Should we be able to accommodate your request, we will follow up with you accordingly.

The Langley, Cooper, and Churchill Road  PTSA/PTO Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committees are commemorating Black History Month (February) with the 28 Days of Equity Awareness project. We invite participants to check out this list of 28 short readings, videos, and podcasts, and complete as many as possible. Our goal is to begin a conversation in which we investigate perspectives from marginalized voices. We hope you’ll join us.

During the month, on each Friday at noon, we will hold Friday Reflections lunch discussions, providing a safe space for reflection on the material. To attend, RSVP via this form: https://forms.gle/xbXWAcPXkF2ahixt9

NOTE: On February 16, 2021 at 7:30 pm, we will hold a pyramid-wide book club meeting on the first 7 chapters of the book Blindspot, by Mahzarin R. Banaji and Anthony G. Greenwald. Those chapters are among the selections on our 28-day list. To RSVP for the book club, please complete this form:

Action Requested: Help save trees and FCPS $$ on postage by opting in to receive “Paperless” Report Cards (that can be printed through ParentVUE)

Parents/Guardians may opt into “Go Paperless” for report cards by following the below instructions:

  • Parents/Guardians can take advantage of the paperless option, by logging into ParentVUE, then going to “My Account” and selecting "Go Paperless!". This is the only way to keep a paper report card from being generated for students at the secondary level. All parents who share the same address as the student must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option.
