LCES Updates 5/15/20: SACC News, Curbside Pickup Coming Soon, Videos for You, Laptop Verification Form, College Day Pics and more!

SACC

News From SACC

We recently heard back from the TREX PLASTIC RECYCLING CHALLENGE we participated in during the school year. With all your donations of plastic bags, we were able to place on the top 25 schools with most recycled donations! Our center isn’t big, but we definitely have amazing supporters with BIG hearts who are always willing to participate for a good cause. Without you all, we wouldn't have been able to reach this goal. We hope this is  encouraging news during these difficult times!

Curbside Pickup Coming Soon!

We are currently working on a plan for coordinated item retrieval to allow staff back into the building to achieve the following goals:

  • gather and pack-up essential personal and instructional items for summer storage and cleaning
  • gather and prepare students' belongings for curbside pickup

We look forward to sharing a pick-up schedule and specific pick-up procedures with you in the near future. Stay tuned for more information and be sure to read upcoming issues of "LCES Updates!"

LCES' Virtual College Day

vcd

Thursday, May 14th was Virtual College Day at Lees Corner and in the entire Chantilly Pyramid. Look at all the LCES staff members who recorded Flipgrid videos sharing where they went to college! It was an exciting and inspiring project led by our school counselors in collaboration with our 6th grade team and our SCA!

Students, we hope our stories inspire you to reach for the stars!
