First, this week is Spirit Week sponsored by our SCA! Click here to see the theme for each day and we hope your child participates in the fun!
As we come into our last week of school before winter break, I want to wish you all much joy and cheer with time spent with family and friends. Offices are closed the week of December 24th and we will inform the community soon if there will be any office hours the week of December 31st.
Friday morning staff will gather in the front lobby to serenade our students as they enter with some caroling! This is a FHES tradition on the last day before break. We also have the Marshall High School Choir Carolers coming at the end of the day Friday to fill our halls with song! This week typically involves classroom celebrations as well and our teachers know to be vigilant with planning for student allergies. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any concerns regarding food in the classroom. Friday morning we also have our annual staff vs. 6th grade volleyball game! Although it is not open to parents (no room at all with other classes coming to watch!), we will share highlights on Twitter.
If you received this previous communication, you know we suddenly lost Deka Nur, Special Education assistant, last week. In an effort to support Deka's family, we are collecting funds until Thursday. If you would like to contribute any amount, please see the front office. In addition, we will be planting a tree and marking it in Deka's honor. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts.
All my best,
Scott
P.S. Happy birthday Sebastian Bloom!!! :)
