Virginia Breeze Launches Tidewater Current Service, Connecting Virginia Beach to the Shenandoah Valley

 RICHMOND, Va. - The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) today officially launched the Tidewater Current, a new Virginia Breeze bus service that creates a direct connection between Virginia Beach and the Shenandoah Valley along the I-64 corridor.
To celebrate the launch, Virginia Breeze is offering a flash sale with 25% off Tidewater Current travel taken in April and May. Travelers can use code BEACH25 when booking. This limited-time promotion invites Virginians to plan their spring getaways across the Commonwealth while enjoying the convenience and comfort of the new route.
The Tidewater Current is the first east to west Virginia Breeze route, expanding access to key destinations including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, Williamsburg, Richmond, Charlottesville, Staunton, and Harrisonburg. The service seamlessly connects coastal communities with destinations across Central and Western Virginia, making it easier than ever for residents, students, and visitors to explore, visit loved ones, or travel without the need to drive.
