EdEquityVA Webinar Series
Culturally Responsive Teaching
Parts 1 and Part 2
The Office of Equity and Community is pleased to share our recent EdEquityVA webinars on Culturally Responsive Teaching. Virginia's Education Equity Framework, Navigating EdEquityVA, prioritizes our strategy into two categories that are informed by Virginia achievement data, best practice, and research: (1) Increasing the Cultural Proficiency of Virginia’s Educator Workforce, and (2) Closing Opportunity Gaps for Virginia Students.
As we seek to ensure that teachers are culturally proficient, it is our hope that you find these resources useful. You are encouraged to share them as you see fit.
The Office of Equity and Community Engagement extends sincere gratitude to our presenter, Maria Burgos of Prince William County, for sharing expertise on this topic. We also thank our colleagues from the VCU School of Education, Henrico County Public Schools, Chesterfield County Public Schools, and Hampton City Schools for providing valuable CRT strategies.
