VA is implementing its new electronic health record (EHR) system on Oct. 24 at initial sites in the Pacific Northwest. The implementation improves how clinicians store and manage patient information, including visits, test results, prescriptions and more. This will also mean some changes to how Veterans access their own health data online if their VA facility has changed to the new EHR. [From VAntage Point]

Every October we gather in various ways to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The observance is an international campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer. It also raises funds to research its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. Breast cancer is one of the most common kinds of cancer for American women, after skin cancer.
