The 2024 Virtual Federal Benefits Training Event class registration link and registration dates will be coming soon.
This year, the Benefits Officers Development and Outreach (BODO) team will host 12 two-hour long classes for Federal Human Resources employees providing an overview of Federal retirement and benefits programs via MS Teams. In addition to the 12 classes, there will be two breakout sessions for headquarters-level agency Benefits Officers. Registration instructions will be sent out separately for these two breakout sessions.

Participation in OPM’s 2024 Virtual Federal Benefits Training event meets the requirement in 5 U.S.C. 8350(3) that “once each year, each retirement counselor of an agency shall successfully complete a training session conducted under the (U.S. Office of Personnel Management) training program.”

Who May Register: Current Federal Human Resources employees using a Federal email address with a suffix of .gov, .fed, .us, or .mil.
If you are a Benefits or Human Resources Specialist with a .org email address (for an organization that administers Federal benefits) and need to create a registration portal account for the first time, please email benefits@opm.gov and we will assist you. If you previously created an account with a .org email address to register for a prior event, you will be able to register for this event.

Registration Confirmation: You will receive a system-generated email confirmation notice after your online registration is submitted successfully.
Registration Deadline: Date will be shared with the registration link
Cancellation Policy: Date will be shared with the registration link
Virtual Platform: All classes will be provided via MS Teams Live event. Registered attendees will receive information on how to log into each class after registration closes.
Certificates: Certificates will be available for each class attended, after completion of a short survey. Please enter your name during registration as you want it to appear on your certificate.
