Trends in Manufacturing and their Implications for Workforce Development Webinar Series

On Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. eastern time, NIST MEP will host a webinar on trends in manufacturing and their implications for workforce development. This is the first webinar in a 4-part series on how the changes in manufacturing have shaped and continue to shape America’s manufacturing workforce, and how MEP centers can “get out in front” of talent management challenges.

Over the next 6 months, the series will cover how 21st century manufacturing is, and will continue to be, disruptive in the extreme; how and with whom to collaborate to solve workforce shortages; how MEP centers can position themselves as high-value strategic partners; and the direction of Next Generation Strategies: Workforce and what that will mean for MEP Centers and their clients.

Webinar Details
The December 19th webcast will provide observations on manufacturing workforce challenges, and peek into the future to help think about today’s AND tomorrow’s manufacturing workforce – and what MEP is doing to help with those challenges.

Attendees of this webinar will receive the latest NIST MEP workforce guide entitled “Talent Management for MEP Centers and Clients: How to Ensure Your Clients have the Skills They Need for Next Generation Strategies”, as well as a copy of the webinar powerpoint slides.
