Deadline Reminder: SAC Applications for January 1 and February 1 Starts
The application deadlines are approaching for fiscal year (FY) 2025 Service Area Competition (SAC) Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) for service areas with a January 1, 2025, or February 1, 2025, period of performance start date.
The table below lists application deadlines for all released FY 2025 SAC NOFOs. We’ve bolded the rows to which this announcement refers.

FY 2025 BPR NCC Released for February 1 Budget Period Starts
HRSA released the FY 2025 Budget Period Progress Report (BPR) Non-Competing Continuation (NCC) (5-H80-25-002) for Health Center Program award recipients with a February 1 budget period start date. These award recipients have a BPR submission available for completion in EHBs with a deadline of 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, September 6.

Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Opportunistic Infections in Adults and Adolescents With HIV
HHS experts recently published new anal cancer screening recommendations within the guidelines (visit HIV.gov for what’s new). These include a screening program for people with HIV that uses high resolution anoscopy to help detect and treat pre-cancer and prevent anal cancer. These are the first U.S. federal guidelines on the topic and reflected findings from the NIH-funded Anal Cancer/HSIL Outcomes Research (ANCHOR) study.

Data Disaggregation: Principles, Promising Practices, and Lessons Learned to Advance Health Equity
In 2023-2024, the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) conducted an environmental scan of racial, ethnic, and language data disaggregation practices at health centers. They sent out a questionnaire and held interviews.
Their new report (PDF) compiles their findings, including promising practices and lessons learned.
