Looking to the Future – Features of IBC's Workplace Design

While reviewing the floorplan, you’ll see exciting room types that aren’t available at IBC’s current facility. CannonDesign developed an inspiring workspace that includes private and collaborative spaces all employees can use either as walk-up or scheduled. The floorplan and design concepts presented below are still in the design phase, and CannonDesign may incorporate changes as the design plans are finalized.

Collaborative Spaces Include:

Focus Rooms Dispersed throughout the building are more than forty small focus rooms allowing for private space available on a first-come basis. Employees can use these private rooms to participate in meetings with clients or colleagues not located in Building 48, take personal calls, or have a space to close a door and have a distraction-free space when a project calls for it.

Huddle Rooms Small, medium, and large huddle rooms provide touchdown areas for small teams to quickly come together for collaborative and focused work. Equipped with audio and video technology, employees will be able to easily include remote team members.

Interact Zones Located in the middle of the main floor and the basement level you’ll find Interact Zones, which are areas where employees can step away and use the kitchenette, take a break, or casually catch up with colleagues. Furniture is casual and intended to be conversational.

The Forest Located in the basement is a large collaborative space affectionately called the Forest, paying tribute to the skylights and planned tree-like art installation. The Forest has room for small teams to meet. An interact zone with a kitchenette provides a place to relax and eat a snack or meal. The Forest is in the heart of the new IBC conference center. A space you'll be proud to bring your customers when hosting meetings, training, or conferences.

Sunken Courtyard The Sunken Courtyard is an outdoor space adjacent to the Forest and accessible from the main entry and parking lot. The outdoor space incorporates drought-tolerant native gardens and will become a relaxing escape for those who crave the outdoors. With Wi-fi access throughout the building and Sunken Courtyard, employees can use the area while taking a break or knocking a few things off their to-do list.

Conference Rooms Conference rooms are available on the main floor and in the conference center in the Forest. Conference rooms range from small rooms for six participants to a large conference space for over 300. Conference rooms will integrate into a scheduling system so employees can reserve the best-suited space for their needs. Technology and AV for conference spaces are still in the design phase. We look forward to sharing as plans become more developed!

Training Rooms Three training and multi-purpose rooms are in development. Similar to conference rooms, technology and AV plans are still in the early stages, and specifics aren't available yet. We are excited to have dedicated training rooms and will share planned features as they become more detailed.
