CBP has made substantial progress with the Protest issue impacting the document upload functionality. We have improved the ability to upload and will continue to monitor and analyze this issue. We do apologize for the delay and any interruptions.
We recognize that although the upload function has improved some filers may still encounter this issue. We recommend following the steps listed below to clear the computer browser cache. We also suggest users update their browser favorites and bookmarks.
Steps to clear cache:
1. Open new browser-either Chrome or Edge
2. In the browser select the 3 dots ‘…’ to the far right of the URL line
3. In the drop down-select ‘Settings’
4. In the search box input ‘Cookies’
5. Then select ‘Clear browsing data now’ > ‘Choose what to clear’
6. Pop up box make sure only the last 2 check boxes (Cookies and Cached Images) and select the ‘Clear Now’ button
7. Close Chrome or Edge and reopen
Additionally, On Saturday November 19, 2022, CBP will shut off Protest Legacy ACE. After November 19th, all users will need to access Protest by logging in to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal Modernization. Instructions on how to log in to ACE Portal Modernization and navigate to the Protest module are attached with this CSMS.
