CSMS #50668982 - RESOLVED: EU Steel and Aluminum FTZ Foreign Privileged Status filing for quota rejections in ACE
Related Message CSMS #50602827, published on Jan 5, 2022, announced known issues with Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) withdrawals of European Union (EU) steel and aluminum from Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) under Privileged Foreign Status. This issue has been corrected. Filers withdrawing EU steel and aluminum from FTZ for entry for consumption can file the appropriate Quota CH 99 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) number for the first HTS number, followed by the appropriate CH 1-97 HTS classification for their goods. Follow normal TRQ filing instructions. No additional identifiers are required for these entries. Special instructions for these entries are no longer required from the Trade Remedy Branch (updating CSMS #50536327 published on December 29, 2021.)
More detailed instructions can be found in the corresponding EU Steel TRQ or EU Aluminum TRQ Bulletin found at https://www.cbp.gov/trade/quota/bulletins.
