agents and brokers - selling in the healthcare dot gov marketplace

Get Ready to Help Consumers

HealthCare.gov’s Find Local Help tool, one way to quickly connect consumers with agents and brokers who can help them enroll in Marketplace coverage, has been updated so even more potential new clients can find you.

Some of these updates include:

  • New options to display your contact information, including the ability to show all states where you have an active license to sell health plans.
  • A badge for agents and brokers who have completed Marketplace registration for this year and the past four years (available soon!).
  • Improvements to the look and feel of the Find Local Help tool, as well as search results.
  • New Help On Demand feature that allows consumers to request your assistance in real-time using a new sales lead generation service. This feature is free to licensed agents and brokers registered with the Marketplace for plan year 2018 -- stay tuned for more information on how you can sign up to participate in the new service.

Get prepared for Open Enrollment (which starts on November 1 and runs through December 15) by confirming your contact information is displayed correctly.

Check your Contact Info

Remember, your contact information will not be listed in the Find Local Help tool until you have completed Marketplace registration and training for plan year 2018, have a valid National Producer Number, and a valid CMS-approved line of authority.

If you have any questions or believe your contact information is not displayed correctly, please contact the Agent/Broker Email Help Desk at FFMProducer-AssisterHelpDesk@cms.hhs.gov.
