Updated Find Local Help Selections in the MLMS

HealthCare.gov’s “Find Local Help” tool enables consumers, small employers, and employees of small employers to search for local agents and brokers, based on a ZIP code, city, or state, who can assist them throughout the Marketplace application and enrollment process. This tool provides consumers with professional contact information for agents and brokers who have completed all applicable Marketplace registration requirements*.

In August 2017, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) updated some selections that are available to registered agents and brokers in the Find Local Help Options drop-down menu within the Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS). The available selections include:

  • I would like all my contact information displayed.
  • I would like my profile information displayed, except my street address. Including states where I have a valid health license.
  • I would like all my profile information displayed. Including states where I have a valid health license.
  • I don't want my contact information displayed.

To make or update your selection within the "Find Local Help" feature in HealthCare.gov, you will need to access your MLMS profile by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the CMS Enterprise Portal using your FFM User ID. If you have not created an account or started your Marketplace registration, get started here.
  2. On the Agent Broker Registration Status webpage, select the Complete Agent Broker Training link, and you will be directed to the Training Options webpage.
  3. Select the Access Training link next to the MLMS listing, and you will be directed to the MLMS profile webpage.
  4. At the top of the MLMS profile webpage, there will be a drop-down menu for Find Local Help Options.
  5. Select the appropriate option.
  6. Click the Save/Update button at the bottom of the webpage.

If you have already completed registration, updating your MLMS profile is critical because CMS uses this data to update the agent and broker contact information in the "Find Local Help" tool on HealthCare.gov weekly. Please allow up to one week for your update to appear online.

If you have any questions, please contact the Agent/Broker Email Help Desk at FFMProducer-AssisterHelpDesk@cms.hhs.gov.

*Note: Your contact information will not be listed in the Find Local Help tool until you have completed Marketplace registration and training for plan year 2018, have a valid NPN, and a valid CMS-approved line of authority.
