COVID-19 setting update 13 (FAQs now on the web, and alert for scams)

Whilst many people are now staying at home, we know this is not an option for those settings who are able to remain open. Through these broadcasts we aim to provide up to date information to try and make your lives easier during this period. We thank you for your ongoing support.

FAQs now added to West Sussex County Council website

We have put a link to our FAQs on the West Sussex County Council website www.westsussex.gov.uk/earlyyearsandchildcare to give additional access to all practitioners. A link to the FAQs will continue to be available at the bottom of these broadcasts too. We will be adding to these every day, and new or changed information will be highlighted so that it can easily be identified. Today (2 April 2020) we have added more FAQs, including a response about furloughing of staff.

Be alert to fake HMRC contact

Please be aware that Government support schemes, for example support for the self-employed, can only be accessed through GOV.UK. If you are contacted by text, phone or email by someone claiming to be from HMRC please be alert.  If they say you can claim financial help or are owed a tax refund, and ask you to click on a link or to give information such as your name, credit card or bank details, it is a scam.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - including links to Gov.UK information

Note: All our FAQs for West Sussex settings are in one document. You will always be opening the latest version by clicking the link below in this, and future broadcasts.

Please ensure that you additionally refer to the latest Government FAQs on Gov.UK
