We hope you had a relaxing weekend, keeping yourselves healthy and safe.
Continued thanks and gratitude go out to all Early Years leaders and your staff who are able to make provision available for the children of critical workers or vulnerable children where it is not safe for the children to remain at home.
Setting status
Three-quarters of settings (including childminders) were recorded as open on Friday 27/03/20. We realise that your ability to remain open may change so please ensure you keep the Family Information Service informed of changes by email family.info.service@westsussex.gov.uk. Please include in your email confirmation of key contact details during your closure, as we may need to be in touch with you during this time.
Broadcast help

Wage costs
The government has issued the following guidance on supporting business’ wage costs during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes some specific information for employers in receipt of public funding, for example the Free Entitlement.
These are challenging and unprecedented times and, like you, we are trying our best to implement the government guidelines to maintain critical services whilst maintaining social distancing.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated in keeping the sector open so that critical workers are able to work and vulnerable children are kept safe. We continue to work, taking each day at a time, to best support the national effort and will continue to support you with this.
