1. Important - Online Provider Portal Planned Maintenance
Please be advised that the Online Provider Portal (OPP) will
be unavailable between midnight Sunday 19 August and Wednesday 22 August 2018
until 9:00am whilst we upgrade our technology.
This will affect all tasks within the OPP (including Free
Entitlement, course booking requests and the Termly update form). Please note
that parents and carers will not be able to submit 2 year old Free Entitlement
applications between midnight Sunday 19 August and Wednesday 22nd August until 9:00am.
Our FIS childcare website will also be unavailable to the
public for one day only on Tuesday 21 August.
HMRC has a range of digital support for childminders, explaining what you need to do when it comes to tax:

A recorded webinar has been designed especially for childminders, so you can watch at a time that suits you. During the webinar you’ll learn more about the business expenses you can claim tax relief on including start-up costs, day to day food and drink, and replacing equipment.

An Online Guide for Childminders can be accessed at any time. You can complete the learning at your own pace, with learning checks, options to go back, restart or return to specific chapters at any time.

A Ready Reckoner will help you budget for your tax bill.
You can ask questions whenever you need to on HMRC’s Online Customer Forum. Experts are on hand to support you.
