During the pre-election period, before tomorrow’s local elections in the borough, there are restrictions on council communications. This means your consultation newsletter looks a little different and focuses on essential updates only. Our usual format will return from our next newsletter on Wednesday 20 May.

Final call for views on village design code
It’s the last chance to give your views on a design code which has been created for the proposed Loddon Valley Garden Village.
A design code is a set of clear rules for an area. It helps, for example, decide how streets and neighbourhoods are laid out, where green spaces go and how residents move around.
This consultation is not asking for views on whether the site should be developed, but about how it could look and feel if it’s built.
Have your say until Monday (11 May).
Information on our website – have your say
Help us make sure information on our website is clear, helpful and easy to understand.
Sometimes people in care homes or hospitals have their freedom limited to help keep them safe. This is known as Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
We want to know whether information on our website explains the safeguards clearly and is easy to understand for residents facing this situation, who may have questions or concerns.
Our short survey takes around five to 10 minutes to complete. There are no right or wrong answers and your feedback will help shape improvements to our website. The survey is open until 22 May.

Parking restrictions support cycle route
We’re seeking views from residents who regularly use Woodlands Avenue in Woodley.
New parking restrictions are being trialled along the part of the avenue between Lytham Road and Roslyn Road, in support of a new cycle lane connecting Woodley town centre to Palmer Park on the border with Reading.
The new double yellow lines mean there is no waiting or loading at any time on the north side of the section of Woodlands Avenue and no waiting at any time on the south side.
We want to hear what road users think about the introduction of the restrictions. Give your views until 2 October.
Other chances to have your say
A consultation with residents on the proposed Loddon Valley Garden Village is being held by the site promoter Hatch Farm Land Ltd.
You can give them your views until 22 May in an online survey or at a drop-in event this Saturday (9 May). The event runs from 10am to 3pm and is at 1 New Road in Sindlesham.
You have until Monday (11 May) to have your say on proposals to change how people learn to drive in the UK.
The government is thinking about introducing a minimum learning period before learner drivers can take their practical test. It wants to reduce the number of fatal collisions each year on our roads involving drivers aged 17 to 24.
Give your views in a Department for Transport survey.
