Take part in our learning survey for chance to win £200 shopping vouchers
We are developing our Lifelong Learning service to support people at every stage of their lives and would welcome your ideas of what would be useful for you or your family.
Lifelong learning is about providing good quality learning opportunities for people of all ages to help them develop their lives, work, family and community.
Please let us know what learning programmes are of interest, whether it be for employment, formal qualifications, health and wellbeing, practical skills, family care, supporting the community, or other needs.
The lifelong learning survey is open to those 16+ years of age who live, work or volunteer in West Berkshire.
For everyone who completes the survey, there is a chance to enter a draw to win £200 of shopping vouchers. If you would like to enter the draw, please leave your email address when prompted at the end of the survey.
This week is Dementia Action Week. Our West Berkshire libraries have books you might find helpful if you have dementia, are caring for someone with dementia or want to find out more about the condition. All of these titles have been recommended by health professionals and are available to borrow for free from your local library.
Pick up a 'Reading Well on Dementia' booklist from the library or take a look through these and other Reading Well books on the West Berkshire Libraries website by clicking the link below.
Our Reminiscence Collection kits from West Berkshire Libraries can help families, carers and staff in residential homes to share and stimulate memories with loved ones or residents. This can take place as part of one-to-one or group activities.
Our libraries have a collection of nearly 40 themed kits for you to borrow for free. You can view the full collection on our online catalogue, then reserve the kit of your choice to borrow. We'll let you know when it's ready for you to collect from your local library.

Over the past year people have relied on places close to home, such as the local park or woodlands, as somewhere to escape to, exercise and play. So join us and show some love for those special places that helped us through lockdown as part of the Great British Spring Clean launched by Keep Britain Tidy.
The campaign, which runs from 28 May to 13 June 2021, calls on the public to pledge to clean-up and help the charity achieve a million miles of litter-picking.
If you are organising a clean-up, we'd love to see your efforts! Make sure you tag us in your photos or videos on social media and use the following hashtags: #GBSpringClean #MillionMileMission #WestBerkshire
We can loan litter-picking equipment to help you carry out your event, but please give us as much notice as possible and check availability before advertising your event.
