Dear colleagues,
Please find an update on the Facilities Management (FM) issues at Cedar Wood House below.
We are working closely with our FM team and weekly meetings are now in place to oversee some of the current issues. Longer term we will be looking to identify current staff member/s to become building managers for Cedar Wood House in line with Council Policy. More on this to follow but if you think this might be something you would be interested in please contact Louise Sutherland, Head of Housing Transformation and Henry Jackson-Koufie, Strategic Housing Project Manager.

In Cedar Wood House we have a few designated workstations which have been adapted for certain members of staff. These have been implemented by the internal Health and Safety team following a display screen equipment (DSE) assessment.
These workstations are clearly labelled, and I would like to remind you to not dismantle, adjust or remove any of the equipment set up at these desks. It can cause untold inconvenience and distress to the employee concerned.
Following earlier treatments another fumigation of Cedar Wood House will take place this evening, Thursday 29 June at 6pm.
Please ensure that all desks are left clear of any belongings at the end of the day and all mugs are washed and put away in the kitchen. All staff are kindly asked to leave the office in advance of the team’s arrival.
Both printers on the 2nd floor are now working, parts are on order for other printers that have had recent issues.
If you need to report an issue with a printer:
Aston Group, our contractors, visited Cedar Wood House earlier this week to review recurring issues with power banks on the second floor. We will update you on how we will address this once we receive a full report from the contractor.
If you have any questions please contact Louise Sutherland, Head of Housing Transformation, or Henry Jackson-Koufie, Strategic Housing Project Manager.
Thank you for your patience.
Best wishes, Joe
