It's so hard to believe we are just over a month away from the Rural Development Programme reaching its' end - where have the last eight years gone?

At this stage in the programme, WRN switches its'  focus to gathering Case Studies and uploading project reports and Feasibility Studies to the website.

However, we continue to share news and assist projects in promoting their work.

The search for Farming Connect Agri Academy 2023 candidates began on Monday, 1 May, with the application window open until Friday, 26 May 2023.

New project farms sought for Farming Connect ‘Our Farms’ network

Farmers are being given the chance to trial new innovations and technologies in farming ahead of Wales’ transition to the Sustainable Farming Scheme as Farming Connect is recruiting farms to trial on-farm projects.

A new scheme was launched on 3 April called ‘Coetiroedd Bach’

A new scheme called ‘Coetiroedd Bach’, contributing to the National Forest for Wales Programme.

‘Coetiroedd Bach’ bring the benefits of a forest right into the heart of our cities and urban spaces.

‘Coetiroedd Bach’ is the name for Tiny Forests in Wales.

Success for St David’s Day 2023

The Welsh Government’s St David’s Day 2023 #CaruCymruCaruBlas / #LoveWalesLoveTaste campaign has achieved record numbers, with a greater number of impactful impressions, stronger links with the retail and hospitality sectors, and increased consumer awareness.

Students get valuable insight at Welsh Lamb butchery demonstration

Aspiring chefs from a leading further education college were given an insight into PGI Welsh Lamb as part of a demonstration of butchery skill and technique. Following the demo, Welsh Lamb took centre stage in a six course Great British Menu meal, cooked by the students themselves.

First community EV charge points installed on Anglesey

Thanks to a new initiative by an Anglesey-based social enterprise, five community Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging points have been installed across the island. Menter Môn, in partnership with Medrwn Môn and the Isle of Anglesey County Council have installed the points at community hubs as part of the Zap Môn project.
