Welsh inventor recognised at the 2019 Women in Innovation Awards

Pioneering female innovators have been recognised as part of the 2019 Women in Innovation Awards. Welsh inventor Jessica Bruce was recognised with a plaque for her 3D gait analysis to help older adults and those recovering from surgery to walk pain-free.

The awards, announced on International Women's Day, follows a search for female innovators who are tackling some of the biggest challenges facing society. Click here

Success for young Welsh inventors

Two young inventors featured in the last edition of the newsletter have gone on to national success at the Big Bang Fair. Seren Hopkins from Pontypridd High School was successful in receiving an award for her Hobbit-Inspired Hedgehog Shelter project. Whilst Jack Davies from Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi is now going on to represent the UK at the largest Science & Engineering Fair in the United States. Read more here

Horizon 2020 Treasury Guarantee - updated guidance

Current UK recipients of Horizon 2020 funding are invited to provide data about their projects on a portal managed by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The portal is designed to ensure that UKRI has the information about projects and participants in order to underwrite guarantee payments if required. Find out more here

Innovate UK - Electronics, Sensors and Photonics for Robotics in Extreme Environments Briefing Event
