There's also our brilliant Mini Monets (4-6yrs) and Young Ones (7-13yrs) art clubs running, where kids' will get to experiment with different art materials, processes and ideas; inspired by the Gallery's collection and the current exhibitions on show.

Southampton City Art Gallery's Open Exhibition submission deadline is 16 – 18 June
We are inviting everyone to submit a piece of art responding to the question 'What does culture mean to you?'
Entrants are encouraged to consider the theme of culture as creatively and widely as possible, and can submit work in both 2-D and 3-D form in any medium including painting, photography, drawing, original prints, mixed media, textile, sculpture and video. The successful artists will have their work exhibited at Southampton City Art Gallery from 2 July – 10 September 2022.

Join Kurt Jackson as he discusses the work on display in his new exhibition of paintings, found objects and sculptures. These works were made in locations across the UK, including the New Forest and south coast, and reflect the specific biodiversity in each area.

Steamship Shieldhall, Titanic themed cruise | Fri 3 June | 2pm - 7pm | Western Docks Berth 110
Join Steamship Shieldhall, a 'Titanic in Miniature' as she steams down Southampton Water to the Solent, passing the Titanic berth, and recounting stories of the Titanic's crew and her connections with Southampton. There'll be opportunities to access the Engine and Boiler Rooms and to meet the Captain on the bridge.
