Our response to Storm Franklin
Storm Franklin brought snow, heavy rain and strong winds to Sheffield this weekend and our teams have worked around the clock to help keep the roads moving and communities safe.
With a yellow weather warning for wind still in place today for the UK, we are advising people to take extra care and only travel if it’s essential.
We've been checking on our rough sleepers in the city centre to make sure they are safe in this weather. Full services are still in place. If you have any concerns if you see anyone rough sleeping tonight please stay with them and call us on 0800 1691608.
There are some road closures in place so follow Streets Ahead on Twitter for the latest updates on closed and re-opened roads.” Meadowhall Road is open again now.
Although there is a low risk of flooding, there are currently 15 flood warnings in place for Sheffield. Find out more here.
If you spot any issues on the roads, please report them to us by clicking on the button below or call us on 01142734567. Please be aware our phone lines remain extremely busy.
