Over the festive period this year, there will be no changes to bin collection days, and excess festive waste can be left out for collection.
Residents can check the online collection calendar to confirm collection days. To be collected, bins must be placed out by 7am on collection day with the bin lid closed.
The council’s highways team is reminding people to take extra care this winter and only travel if essential when bad weather strikes. When snow or freezing conditions are forecast, Sheffield’s roads are gritted on a priority basis, with main roads, link roads and those providing access to hospitals treated first and foremost.
This winter, like every other, we are making sure that rough sleepers have somewhere to keep safe, have a meal and stay warm during the cold winter months.
A support package of grants will be available for businesses who have been most impacted by the Omicron variant of Covid 19.
The council is seeking public consultation on proposals for the 2022/23 budget.
Residents are able to have their say on where they think more, less or the same amount of the budget needs to be spent.
