UK ENIC will no longer be providing Early Years qualification information or advisory services for domestic qualifications.

Instead, the CEYQ service is available on GOV.UK here.

UK ENIC will continue to assess qualifications achieved outside the UK.

About the CEYQ service

CEYQ supports Early Years managers and practitioners by enabling them to:

  • Check a qualification and understand the staff:child ratios they can work under.
  • Receive a clear, printable outcome based on details such as qualification title, awarding organisation, and course start date.
  • Access guidance that provides confidence and clarity about their eligibility under statutory requirements.

On behalf of Sarah Daly, Director of Children, Families and Education

We’re asking for your support to share the Portsmouth Families First Survey with families across the city. This is more than a survey – it’s a chance for families to influence the future of how services are delivered in Portsmouth.

Why is this important? The voices of children and families are central to our service improvement. By taking part, families help us create a system that is easy to navigate, responsive, and designed for everyone – whether they access support through schools, health services, early years, or community settings.

What is Families First? This is a national reform programme led by the Department for Education. In Portsmouth we will be focusing on providing help earlier to keep children safely with their families, reducing handovers between services by developing a joined up ‘Family Help’ offer, co-producing solutions with families putting them at the heart of decisions and creating innovative care options for children we care for and care-experienced young people.

How you can help: I would be very grateful if you could share the survey link and QR code widely – through emails, newsletters, social media, or conversations.

Every response counts. Together, we can continue to have Portsmouth as a City where families feel supported and included. For more information, contact Adam Murphy at adam.murphy@portsmouthcc.gov.uk. Thank you for helping us make this happen.
