RAF100

RAF100 Nottingham Event

Saturday 7 April
Old Market Square
9:00 to 16:30

To celebrate the centenary of the Royal Air Force, this special event in the Market Square will host an RAF100 Village filled with local associations proudly linked to the RAF as well as modern day personnel on hand to talk about how the modern day RAF is operating in the UK and around the world.

There will be a number of interactive activities, and vehicles offering photo opportunities and the chance to have a go.

Rolls Royce is bringing a wealth of knowledge and a number of historical engines to show how the company, and site at Hucknall Aerodrome has played a key part in the success and development of the RAF through the years.

The Mercian Regiment will be bringing experts from the Trust to talk about Captain Albert Ball VC, one of the first people to attain the status of Ace during the early years of flying.

A large number of other stands will be present, showcasing vehicles and  equipment from the RAF.

The RAF Careers Office covering Nottingham and Derby will also be on site to provide careers advice to individuals interested in joining as an Apprentice or Commissioned Officer.

More information on the wider RAF100 can be found at the Official Website

Commonwealth Tri

Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham

Watch triathletes at the Commonwealth Games this weekend

It might be a bit early for some but many of the very same athletes we expect to grace Victoria Embankment on 7 June will be in action on the Gold Coast, Australia in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It's a bit too late to get on a plane now but you can book yourself a seat in the Grandstand to see them in action this summer... for a fraction of the cost and with no jet lag!

This House

This House

10-15 April
Theatre Royal

Following sell-out runs at the National Theatre and in the West End this extraordinarily prescient play takes on a new importance in the current political climate. Are we in the midst of a political revolution?

Can the country stay united?

Roll back to 1974. The corridors of Westminster ring with the sound of infighting and backbiting as Britain’s political parties battle to change the future of the nation, whatever it takes. In this hung parliament, the ruling party holds on by a thread.
