NEW: Video about Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board's work
With the help of our Citizen Ambassadors and networks, our Board members have made a short video about the work to help keep people safe from abuse and neglect in Leeds.
Tricky Friends is a short animation to help people understand what good friendships are, when they might be harmful, and what they can do to be safe.
We hope that the video will be used to help people be safe while enjoying friendships. It can be used with or by anyone - carers, families, organisations and groups.
Online groomers know exactly who to target and how and when to target them.
As part of their Staying Safe Online - Safeguarding Matters talks, Ann Craft Trust have a talk for you to listen to about how grooming works, and how it feels.
Dogs Trust Freedom Project is a dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse and going into refuge.
It provides free and confidential care for dogs, enabling their owners to access refuge without the fear of what may happen to their dog if left behind.
Leeds People First are our Ambassadors. They attend team meetings and talk about the Leeds Approach to Safeguarding, give their top tips for supporting people to be safe, and answer your questions too.
They are happy to deliver their session in person or via Zoom. Please contact us if you'd like them to attend your team meeting or if you'd like to find out more.
