Tricky Friends is a short animation to help people understand what good friendships are, when they might be harmful, and what they can do to be safe.

We hope that the video will be used to help people be safe while enjoying friendships. It can be used with or by anyone - carers, families, organisations and groups.

Modern technology gives abusers ever-growing ways to control, isolate, humiliate and dominate people using the tools of everyday life.

Refuge's website has information to help you understand what tech abuse is and resources about tech safety.

Leeds People First are our Ambassadors. They attend team meetings and talk about the Leeds Approach to Safeguarding, give their top tips for supporting people to be safe, and answer your questions too.

They are happy to deliver their session in person or via Zoom. Please contact us if you'd like them to attend your team meeting or if you'd like to find out more.

We provide talks for members of the public about the different types of abuse and neglect, adults who may be at risk and how to get help and support. 

We have attended events such as coffee mornings, lunch clubs, activity sessions and general meetings.

Our talks are free and can be delivered in person or online any time Monday to Friday.
