Funding Opportunities
Richmond Council wants to support your local sustainability project
Whether you're starting a new green initiative or expanding an existing one, Richmond Council's climate action microgrants can help.
So far this year, we’ve funded projects like community litter picks, textile repair workshops, eco-sessions for young people, and waste reduction events for families. Your project could be next!
Applying is easy, and there are two more chances to apply this year—submit by Thursday 25 October 2024 for November funding. Visit our website to learn more about the microgrants, how to apply, and contact us with any questions.
the7stars Foundation
the7stars Foundation supports young people, aged 16 and under, who are surviving abuse, living with the effects of addiction, at risk of homelessness or caring for a loved one as a young carer. They are currently accepting applications from voluntary sector organisations delivering social impact projects associated with selected awareness days and will soon be opening for general projects and referrals for individual giving.

Richmond Council Updates
Free digital signs to promote sustainable public transport
Do you have a screen that can be used to display real time public transport updates for your visitors? TfL are working with PassageWay to provide free digital signs that promote sustainable public transport and active travel at your location by showing real time travel updates with a helpful map that shows the location of train/tube stations, bus stops and e-bikes. This has a broader benefit of providing useful information to potentially vulnerable members of the public. You will be provided with a URL unique to your location that can be displayed on virtually any size screen via a modern web browser.
Richmond Council is keen to get these rolled out to support their priority of becoming net zero boroughs by 2043 and to encourage active and public travel within the community.
Please click here for further information or contact Emily Goodson.
Explore our new hub for community input and updates on climate strategy
Last week, Richmond Council launched an interactive platform that makes it easier than ever for community members to share views and stay updated on the development of our 2025-30 Climate & Nature Strategy.
The interactive site allows locals to share ideas, pinpoint thoughts and priorities for specific areas on an interactive map, and see real-time community feedback. You can also access updates, event information and the project timeline, plus sign up for email notifications on progress.
Sexual and reproductive health strategy consultation
Richmond Council is currently developing a new sexual and reproductive health strategy which will set our priorities and guide local action over the next five years. Public health would like to invite you to take part in our public consultation to help build an effective strategy that achieves our ambitious vision to maximise the impact of our resources and create a more equitable and accessible preventive and healthcare landscape for everyone. This consultation will enable those who live, work, or socialise in Richmond to help shape our Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy 2025-2030.
Please visit Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy 2025-2030 - Have your say to find our more and access to the consultation by Friday 26 October 2024.
