Our aim is to promote horticulture by:
- Organising monthly talks from April to November on horticultural subjects
- Running a trading hut on Cedar Tree Grove SE27
- Offering free gardening advice
- Organising flower shows in Spring and Summer and running the Flower Show at the Lambeth Country Show on behalf of Lambeth Council.
- Working with Lambeth council, Incredible Edible Lambeth and others to support local gardening and growing initiatives
We are keen to grow the society and welcome new members. Membership is open to all, join online now!
Christmas got off to a flying start at the Macintosh Court sheltered scheme. With the help of a getting involved grant, residents enjoyed a traditional Christmas gathering with turkey, mince pies and all the trimmings.
Due to Covid there were no parties in either 2020 or 2021 so this was a very special occasion. Some family members and friends also came along to participate in the festivities. A special word of thanks was given to Dina Amoh, Scheme Manager, who acted as Head Chef and music organiser. The residents are now planning for a spring event to mark King Charles coronation.
