The next meeting is on Friday, 1 March at 1.30pm.
Internship offer for young people with special needs
A Hounslow Council-backed scheme that offers young people with learning disabilities an inroad into the world of work is now recruiting.
The DFN Project SEARCH Supported Internship is a work-led, one year programme for young people with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), which actively prepares them for the world of work and supports their transition into full time, paid employment.
To encourage young people to sign up to the scheme, there will be a special Open Day event at Hounslow House on Thursday, 29 February, between 1pm and 3pm and then again between 5pm and 7pm. It will take place on the sixth floor of Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow.
It's a great opportunity for anyone interested in applying to find out more about the programme, meet the current DFN Project Interns, learn about their journey so far and meet the staff that will support you throughout your journey on the programme.
