The sessions will:
- Be a chance to share your experiences as a host in confidence

Spaces will be limited, but further host sessions, and new guest sessions will be available shortly.
The host families in East Sussex are doing an incredible and selfless act by taking in Ukrainian refugees into their homes. However, some of you have asked for clarity about the law and whilst the vast majority treat refugee guests with dignity and provide accommodation there are a few ‘do’s and don’ts’ to keep within the law.
If you or someone you know are uncomfortable with your situation or you know someone who you think may be at risk of exploitation and you're unsure what to do, please check our guidance below.
An opportunity is available to join an open event for all people seeking refuge, volunteers and those interested in joining The Refugee Buddy Project. This will be a social event with food cooked by wonderful local families representing the countries of origin of people seeking refuge in the area.
Project staff will be present at the event if you want to talk about how to get involved in the Refugee Buddy Project. |
