263 tonnes of aluminium collected from East Devon households last year
A big thank you for recycling as much aluminium that you use as you can. In East Devon we recycle items including drinks cans, foil, foil trays, aerosols, and jar lids.
Aluminium is the most valuable material the Recycling Team collect from households. These materials are a valuable resource and can be recycled over and over again. Making aluminium from virgin ore uses huge amounts of energy. By recycling your aluminium packaging you are helping to reduce energy use and helping fight climate change.
Read about keeping your aluminium in the ‘loop’, and more, on the Recycling and Waste webpages.

During winter, the Exe Estuary is home to thousands of migratory birds. The South East Devon Wildlife team would like to thank everyone who gave feeding and resting birds space at the seasonal Wildlife Refuge at Exmouth Duckpond (from September to December).
