We're starting 2025 asking people to "Bag It and Bin It"
Picking up after our dogs is so important - for obvious reasons and some less well known. Did you know dog poo harms rare wildflowers, affecting birds and insects too? Learn more, test your knowledge, and share with others. The more people who know, the more will pick up! Huge thanks to those who already do - your efforts to pick up, remove litter and report issues help protect our beautiful countryside. We couldn't do it without you!

Win a Dicky Bag!
We're excited to launch the Devon Loves Dogs Dicky Bag. A brilliant solution to safely store bagged poo until you reach a bin. Waterproof, smell proof and rather stylish! Clip it to your bag, belt or dog lead.
You can win a Dicky Bag by entering our free competition. Find out more on our website.

Join us for a guided, group Waggy Walk for you and your dog. Last year we held 26 walks and this year we're planning even more! We walk all year round in a variety of locations across Teignbridge, Exeter and East Devon. Walks are free and last about an hour and a half with plenty of time for off lead fun, sniffing and chatting. More information and bookings below.

Autumn/Winter Wildlife Refuge |
|
During winter the Exe Estuary and Dawlish Warren are home to thousands of migratory birds. Thank you to everyone who has kept out of the seasonal Wildlife Refuge at Exmouth Duckpond (Sept - Dec). You have helped the birds to thrive. You can listen to Sama, (at 35 mins) one of our Wildlife Wardens on BBC Radio Devon talking about what a successful winter we've had so far. Dawlish Warren Refuge is in place all year round, so please check the Dawlish Warren Code if you're heading there for a dog walk. |

Our team...
We're delighted to welcome Wildlife Warden Claire Spence to our wider team. You might meet her on a Waggy Walk or out on patrol on one of the nature reserves around the Exe Estuary or across the Pebblebed Heaths.
We're also very excited to share our news that later this year Devon Loves Dogs will be expanding, so we can offer more walks, more pop ups and more dog friendly information. We'll keep you posted...
