Special Edition - Spring term | 24 March 2020
Dear Colleagues
Further to our email on Thursday, we wanted to let you know about the various ways in which DAPH & DASH have been working ‘behind the scenes’ to ensure that appropriate support and guidance is available to all schools in a responsive and timely manner.
This includes:
1. DCC Covid-19 Emergency Schools Planning Meeting held daily at 11.00am - a small number of DAPH & DASH Executive Committee headteachers are representing primary and secondary schools of all school types, size and geography at these meetings which involve key L/A Officers plus other education stakeholders and partners.
2. DAPH & DASH Executive Committee Meetings – your elected representatives across both DAPH & DASH are holding regular conference calls to share any local concerns arising and to provide feedback on how schools are affected in terms of putting in place ongoing provision in line with government guidance. This information in turn is then used to inform the DCC daily meetings.
In order that we can represent you in an effective and timely manner, please continue to make us aware of any concerns or issues you are experiencing either directly to the DAPH & DASH representatives who attend the daily DCC meeting and who are listed below and/or to the DAPH & DASH Office at daph@devon.gov.uk.
