School Funding Survey - Worth Less? Campaign
On 30 April 2018 a school funding survey was circulated to school leaders across 30 counties with the hope to attract 1000 responses. Over 1500 responses were submitted, providing a significant snapshot of the funding challenges that schools are facing. Thank you to everyone that participated.
The press release and survey were issued to the media on 8 May and also forwarded to Robert Halfon MP, chair of the Education Select Committee. This will mean that headteachers have an important “voice” within their funding inquiry.
The survey results are advertised via this L I N K. The login details are

Knife Crime in Devon schools - has your school had a knife related issue?
|
FAO: Headteachers and Designated Safeguarding Officers
Devon and Cornwall Police would like to know whether headteachers feel there has been an increase in knife related issues in schools over the past couple of years, or whether your school has not had any knife crime issues at all. For example:-
- Do any schools give their pupils an input on the dangers of carrying a knife? Or is there considered to be no need for this?
- How often are pupils found with a knife in school?
- Would the school report this to police or deal with it themselves?
- Have any pupils said they are carrying it to protect themselves?
Answers to the above questions or any general comments you wish to make regarding knife crime in your school can be sent to Aimee Mitchell, Headteacher at Isca Academy via email amitchell@iscaexeter.co.uk or you can contact her PA Fran Metay via email fmetay@iscaexeter.co.uk

Staff Survey 2018 - Child Sexual Abuse
Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) has been a priority for DCFP during
2017-2018 and the DCFP CSA Working Group have been looking at how we can
improve outcomes for children who may be at risk of sexual abuse. We issued
a similar staff survey in late 2016 and gained almost 900 responses from staff
and professionals across Devon.
If you work in Devon, directly or indirectly
with children, please would you complete our short survey, which will help us
to benchmark the current level of understanding, inform learning needs and
evidence impact. Visit this link to the S U R V E Y
