Message from Matthew Shanks, DASH Co-Ordinator and Paul Walker, DAPH Chair

Dear DAPH and DASH colleagues

As part of the continuing Fair Funding Worth Less? campaign, we would encourage school leaders to complete the survey below on school funding. There are 18 questions in total and the survey will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete.

Visit this L I N K  to the survey.

The campaign is trying to get 1000 responses from school leaders across 30 counties and your support will provide valuable information for headteachers to respond to the Education Committee's call for written submissions on the future of school funding. 400 responses have been received to date and the brief snapshot below shows the results are fascinating and powerful:

  • Half of respondents are being forced to use at least 50% of our PP money to prop up  core budgets
  • 70% of us are making staffing cuts of one sort or another to make balance even after NFF
  • 85 % state that recruitment in the past year has either got harder or much harder

Many thanks for your continued support with this campaign.
